THE WINTERTHUR COLLECTION

Winterthur, founded by Henry Francis du Pont, is the premier museum of American decorative arts, reflecting early America and the du Pont family's life in Delaware's Brandywine Valley. Our relationship with the museum represents our longest and richest collaboration.

Winterthur

Originally Henry Francis du Pont's country estate, Winterthur houses a vast collection of nearly 90,000 American objects from 1640 to 1860. Currey designers draw inspiration from Winterthur's historic drawings for lighting and furniture designs exuding old-world elegance.

Collection

Recent additions to Currey's Winterthur line include the Aster furniture collection, crafted from mahogany, oak, and brass, and finished in Fog Gray and Off White, inspired by museum antiques. The enduringly popular Zara Chandelier, named for Zara du Pont, a great-granddaughter of the founder of the du Pont Company, inspired by original hand-colored drawings remains a top seller after nearly two decades.
